The first Emerging Desert gathering info is as follows:
When: Sunday, February 10th, 2008
Where: The Bamfords' House (Map & Directions here)
What Time: 3:30-4:30PM
This first gathering will be spent getting to know more about each other and where we are in our respective life journeys. (Be prepared to give a summary of your past & present, if you'd like... don't feel obligated, though) You can read more about what Emerging Desert aims to be in our previous post.
Starting at the March meeting, we are going to kick-off the main cohort conversation by reading Shane Claiborne's Irresistible Revolution together. With this particular book, we plan to go at a pace of a chapter per week (or around four chapters between monthly cohort meetings).

Is this open to all? My wife and I are temporarily in North Phoenix trying to figure out where God wants to plant us in the Valley and what missional aim He has for us here. Would it be OK if we dropped in?
